In terms of average import and export unit prices, the average import unit price of roving frames in China is higher than the average export unit price. The import price of roving frames tends to be more expensive. From January to September 2022, the average export unit price of roving frames from China was 92,000 USD per unit, while the average import unit price was 308,800 USD per unit, with a difference of 216,600 USD per unit.
2. Breakdown of import and export
According to the Chinese customs code, roving frames in China can be divided into three categories: cotton roving frames, wool roving frames, and other roving frames. From the export situation, the category of roving frames exported from China is mainly focused on cotton roving frames. From January to September 2022, the export quantity of cotton roving frames was 195 units, while the export quantities of wool roving frames and other roving frames were only 3 units and 1 unit, respectively. Therefore, it can be seen that cotton roving frames are the highest proportion of roving frame exports from China.
From the import situation, in 2018, the import of roving frames in China was mainly focused on cotton and wool roving frames. In 2019, the import quantity and value of cotton roving frames decreased significantly, and the import of wool roving frames became the main focus. After 2020, the import quantity of wool spinning coarse yarn machines also decreased significantly, and the import quantity of roving frames in China began to trend toward single digits.
In terms of average export unit price, cotton roving frames have the highest export unit price. From January to September 2022, the average export unit price of cotton roving frames was 92,600 USD per unit. 3. Analysis of import and export patterns
From the perspective of import and export patterns, from January to September 2022, the import quantity of cotton and other roving frames in China was 0 overall, and the production of high-quality roving frames can now be independently completed in China, without the need for imports. On the contrary, the export quantity of Chinese roving frames has increased year by year since 2020. Among them, the main export countries are Bangladesh and Vietnam. Looking at the specific categories, there are three main export countries for cotton roving frames, with Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Turkey ranking in order of export volume, accounting for 45%, 32%, and 14%, respectively. All wool roving frames were exported to Vietnam, while other roving frames were exported to Bangladesh.
From the top 10 export regions of China’s roving frames by subcategory from January to September 2022, there are many regions for exporting cotton roving frames, with four provinces and cities being the main areas. In order of export volume from high to low, they were Shandong Province, Beijing, Jiangsu Province, and Anhui Province, accounting for 40%, 30%, 28%, and 2% respectively. The regions for exporting wool and other roving frames were less, with wool roving frames being exported from Jiangsu Province, and other roving frames being exported from Shandong Province.
