Ilmatar, 스웨덴에 550MW 태양광 발전소 건설 계획 및 Econergy, Msd, Photon 등

Ilmatar secures land for 550 MW solar in Sweden; Econergy hires EPC contractor for 51 MW PV in Poland; MSD Ireland’s Ballydine fab powered by 7.3 MW solar facility; Photon Energy breaks ground for 7.1 MW in Romania.

Ilmatar’s 550 MW solar park in Sweden: Finland based Ilmatar Energy’s Ilmatar Solar AB plans to build a 550 MW solar power plant in Sweden as one of the largest solar parks in Europe. It will be located in Motala municipality of Östergötland. Land lease agreement has been secured for the project that Ilmatar is to build under an agreement with consultant company Vinnergi AB. The latter will help with securing permits, connecting to the electricity network and building internal network and network stations. This news follows the company announcing a 450 MW solar project in Sweden as the ‘largest’ in Northern Europe earlier this month (참조 Northern Europe’s ‘Largest’ Solar Park In Sweden).

Econergy to build 51 MW solar project in Poland: Israel based renewables developer and operator Econergy Renewable energy has started constructing a 51 MW solar power plant in Poland. It has hired an unidentified but ‘recognized and significant’ EPC contractor in Europe. For Econergy, this plant is the company’s maiden project in Poland to reach this stage. In this European nation, Econergy has developed a pipeline of 41 solar projects with a total capacity of 940 MW, an increase of some 63% since 2021. “The Resko project forms part of our wider 940MW planned pipeline in Poland, supporting our ambition to spearhead and accelerate Europe’s energy transition, reducing the continent’s reliance on foreign fossil fuels at a critical time,” said Econergy’s CEO Eyal Podhorzer.

Ireland’s ‘largest’ self-generation PV project: Pharma company MSD Ireland and along with ESB’s Smart Energy Services has built a 7.3 MW ground mounted solar PV array at the former’s Ballydine, Co Tipperary site as Ireland’s ‘largest’ behind-the-meter or self-generation solar project. The project is estimated to generate close to 7.9 GWh annually to help MSD secure 21% of its site’s energy requirements from clean energy. The Ballydine site is MSD’s primary small molecule pipeline commercialization facility globally. MSD aims to become climate neutral across its operations by 2025. “The solar project will enable our site to reduce our carbon footprint by 2,336 tons every year and it will play a key part in our overall renewable energy agenda,” said AVP Operations and Plant Manager of MSD Ballydine, Brian Killen.

Photon Energy building 7.1 MW PV in Romania: Photon Energy has started constructing a 7.1 MW solar power plant in Romania as its 7th such project in the country. The project is located near Săhăteni in the county of Buzău on more than 10-hectare of land. It plans to use 12,700 high efficiency bifacial solar panels mounted on single-axis trackers. On completion in Q4/2022, it will deliver around 11.4 GWh of renewable energy annually to the grid of SDEE Electrica Muntenia Nord. Photon said the energy generated will be sold on the energy market on a merchant basis which means it will not be supported by government subsidies or a power purchase agreement (PPA) with an offtaker. The company said its under construction solar capacity in Romania now stands at 28.3 MW and its completion will expand its portfolio here to 95 PV projects with a combined generation capacity of 120 MW. Out of this, 104 MW will be selling clean energy directly to the energy market. Its current under development capacity here adds up to 242.8 MW.
