독일 RWE, 스페인에서 44MW AC 양면 태양광 PV 프로젝트에 에너지 공급 및 Equinor, KCM 등

Germany’s RWE has commissioned a 44 MW AC solar power plant in Spain’s Guadalajara province with bifacial modules; Norway’s Equinor has started trial production of its 2nd solar plant in Poland with 44 MW AC capacity; Bulgaria’s KCM has entered solar power corporate PPA with Enery to decarbonize its operations.

44 MW solar plant online in Spain: Germany’s RWE has commissioned its 44 MW AC Puerta del Sol Solar Farm in Spain’s Guadalajara province. Equipped with close to 100,000 bifacial solar modules, the power station takes the company’s operational solar capacity in Spain to over 140 MW. With new solar plants scheduled to come online by the end of 2023, RWE expects its total operational PV capacity in Spain to grow to around 250 MW AC.

60 MW plant starts trial production in Poland: Norway’s Equinor has announced trial production of its 60 MW Zagórzyca solar plant in Poland’s Damnica region. It will produce around 61 GWh annually for the next 30 years. Power generated will be marketed by Equinor’s wholly owned trading company Danske Commodities. The solar plant has been developed by another Equinor subsidiary Wento that will also operate it as a renewable energy producer. It is Equinor’s 2nd solar power plant in Poland to come online, taking its total operational capacity in the country to around 120 MW. Another PV project, Lipno is scheduled to come online in 2024.

KCM signs up for solar power: Bulgarian industrial metals producer KCM has entered a solar power procurement agreement with Austrian renewables developer Energy for 12-year duration. The power purchase agreement (PPA) will come into effect from 2024 and help KCM decarbonize its manufacturing operations and provides it with a long-term predictability of electricity costs. The Enery asset is developed by Enery Element joint venture (JV) and will generate around 200,000 MWh annually. In an official release, KCM did not specify the installed capacity of the location of the solar project, but local media reports identify it as a 113 MW project in Ruse municipality of Tsenovo that’s expected to come online by mid-2024. Power from this project will be used by KCM for its Plovdiv Non-Ferrous Metals Plant.
